Havana, Dec 7 (ACN) The Cuban chapter of Social and People’s Movement called the online Anti-imperialist Forum in Defense of the Peoples to be held December 9 and 10, as a space of solidarity, unity and against imperialism.
The Forum will include panels on identity and culture, peace and sovereignty, genre, children and childhood among other subjects, according to the Cuban Friendship Institute.
The call to the event explains that “It is necessary for all people in the world to come together against foreign interference, colonialism, and foreign occupation, all forms of discrimination and in favor of the right to live in peace, equality and social justice.”
The event will be aired live on the Facebook page of the Cuban Friendship Institute—ICAP. The Cuban chapter of the Social and People’s Movement is made up of organizations such as the Cuban Workers Confederation, the National Association of Small Farmers, the Friendship Institute,
the Young Communist League, the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution, the Martin Luther King Center and the Network of Intellectuals and Artists in Defense of Humanity.
