HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 26 (ACN) In the presence of Miguel Diaz Canel-Bermudez, Cuban president, a ceremony was held to recognize the workers of the Center for State Control of Medicines, Equipment and Medical Devices (CEDMED by its Spanish acronym) for their outstanding work in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the event, 11 scientists received the Men of Science award, and among other distinctions, the Labor Prowess Flag and a special recognition from the Ministry of Public Health were also presented.
Cuban leader acknowledged and thanked the work in these months in which they have had to multiply to ensure the rigor, quality, safety and effectiveness of drugs and vaccines that made possible the results that Cuba boasts nowadays in the fight against the COVID-19.
