HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 25 (ACN) Officials of the permanent working commissions of the National Assembly of People's Power (Parliament) begin today a two-day visit to several municipalities of the province of Mayabeque to check the progress of Cuba’s priority programs.
The Parliament members will also meet with local citizens, delegates and presidents of popular councils to verify compliance with the health protocols established for the prevention of and fight against COVID-19.
The website of the National Assembly reports that this activity responds to the recent call of the President of the Parliament, Esteban Lazo Hernández, who stated in a videoconference that the gradual modification of the epidemiological situation would facilitate more systematic exchanges with the different regions.
