HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 23 (ACN) Cuban president Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez mourned today the death of journalist Fernando Gonzalez Da Silva, who served as chief correspondent of the Associated Press (AP) in Havana.
On Twitter, the president highlighted that Gonzalez Da Silva has left on the island a legacy of affection and respect for the journalistic profession.
On the same social media, the Cuban International Press Center also highlighted the journalist's large experience in news coverage, which was characterized by respect and objectivity about the Caribbean island.
The institution offered in its message condolences to the family of Fernando Gonzalez Da Silva, as well as to the AP team.
