Cuba reported 234 new cases of COVID 19, 346 discharges and 3 deaths



HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 23 (ACN) Cuba studied a total of 14,134 samples for surveillance during the day, resulting in 234 positive results. The country accumulates 10, 961,558 samples taken and 961,276 positive.

At the end of November 22, 4,386 patients were admitted, 2,960 suspected, 175 under surveillance and 1,251 confirmed active.

Of the total number of cases, 228 were contacts of confirmed cases; 2 with source of infection abroad and 4 with no source of infection specified. There were 346 medical discharges, accumulating 951,670 recovered patients (99.0%) and 3 persons died. Thirty-six confirmed patients are being treated in ICUs, 11 of them critical and 25 serious.

Among the 234 positive cases, 13.7% (32) were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 132,373, representing 13.8% of those confirmed to date, and the diagnosed cases belong to the following age groups: under 20 years of age (34), 20 to 39 (54), 40 to 59 (84) and over 60 (62).
