Transat airline flies again to Varadero

VARADERO, Cuba, Nov 16 (ACN) The Airbus A321 of Air Transat Airlines arrived today in the Juan Gualberto Gomez International Airport, and resumed operations with more than 190 passengers on board, inaugurating the winter season in the Cuban resort.

Coming from Montreal, Canada, Air Transat completes the trilogy of airlines from the northern country, the main tourist destination in the Caribbean nation, since Sunwing and Air Canada already fly to Varadero, and according to executives of the tour operator, they expect to increase flights to Cuba's sun and beach destination.

Joseph Adamo, commercial director of the tour operator Transat, told the press that it is a pleasure and honor to restart operations in Varadero on the same day that Cuba reopens its borders, and announced they will also arrive in Cayo Coco, Cayo Santa Maria and Holguin this season.
Transat's goal for 2022 is to have more operations on the island than it had before the Covid-19 pandemic, confirmed the executive and highlighted the values of the destination, mainly its welcoming and friendly people.

Air Transat will now have four weekly frequencies to the resort, Mondays and Thursdays from Montreal and Tuesdays and Fridays from Toronto.
