
HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 19 (ACN) Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Cuban foreign minister, congratulated today on Twitter the people and government of Nicaragua on the 42nd anniversary of the Sandinista Revolution.
In his message, the Cuban diplomat also extended a fraternal hug to the president of that country, Daniel Ortega, and stressed the Cuban solidarity in the face of the complex international scenario.
The guerrilla of the Sandinista National Liberation Front, with the support of the Nicaraguan people, achieved by armed struggle the triumph against the dictatorship of Anastasio Somoza Debayle, on July 19, 1979.
On Sunday, Army General Raul Castro and Cuban president Miguel Diaz-Canel sent a message to the highest authorities of Nicaragua on the occasion of the anniversary of the triumph of the Sandinista Revolution.
The socialist Cuba, pro-Marti and Fidel Castro, with its irrevocable commitment to solidarity and internationalism, will continue standing by the Nicaraguan people, who, guided by you and flying the flags of Sandinismo, face the challenges of socio-economic development in very difficult conditions, the message read.
