HAVANA, Cuba, May 19 (ACN) The website of CMHS Radio Caibarién, La Voz de la Villa Blanca, in the province of Villa Clara, in central Cuba, was awarded in the Media category of the World Summit of the Information Society Award.
Belonging to the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television, this digital portal was chosen among the five champions of section 16- AL C9 and the 18 projects presented in the contest in general, publishes the official website of the Ministry of Communications of Cuba.
The Cuban site, the only national digital media awarded in this event, together with the portal of the Argentinean Ministry of Environment and the one of the Telecommunications Regulatory Agency of Peru, were the Latin American representatives in this year's edition.
The general objective of this portal is to inform, disseminate the tangible and intangible culture, history and human values of the municipality of Caibarién, Cuba and the world, which can be accessed through the link https://www.radiocaibarien.icrt.cu/.
The Forum of the World Summit on the Information Society, which is in session from this Monday until the 21st, represents the largest annual meeting in the world of Information and Communication Technologies for development.
