Cuban Farmer Contributes to COVID-19 Isolation Centers

Bayamo, April 7 (ACN) Cuban farmer Humberto Labrada who owns the Bella Aurora farm in this eastern province is contributing produce to local markets and to COVID-19 isolation facilities.

Despite the increase in the costs of raw materials and other resources due to the ongoing financial reforms, Labrada says we cannot stop contributing food to the people.

Amidst a scarcity of staples like rice for instance, the farmer says all cultivators should develop root vegetables and similar varieties. Labrada who is linked to a local agriculture cooperative is collecting between 100 and 200 boxes of tomatoes in just two hectares of land. His vegetables and other products appear at local markets and help maintain Covid isolation facilities.. Available photos at This email address is being protected from spambots.
