HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 17 (ACN) The enterprise Genesis Galerías de Arte, founded in 2001 with the aim of promoting and marketing the best contemporary Cuban art at national and international level, reached its first two decades of life Tuesday, and celebrates it with an excellent program of virtual exhibitions.
The first of them—to be hosted by Habana, one of its four galleries—will be Imitación a la vida, by Luis Gomez Armenteros (Havana, 1968).
Genesis reported that because of COVID-19-related restrictions the exhibition will take place through a live tour via Facebook and Instagram, and then made permanently available on Habana's social network profiles.
The second exhibition will be the group show Paisaje, retrato y naturaleza muerta, at the gallery La Nave, whereas the other two galleries, Acacia and Servando, will display the works of Jose Manuel Fors (National Visual Arts Award winner) and Adriana Arronte, respectively.
Génesis Galerías de Arte also relies on the services of the René Portocarrero Serigraphy Workshop and the Marco Workshop. In recent years, it has been able to expand and insert itself into other fields of great relevance to today's world. On its 20th birthday, Genesis renews its commitment to the search and promotion of the most valuable and innovative forms of young people’s art and design work.
