CAMAGUEY, Cuba, Mar 3 (ACN) The virtual conference Cuban Women: Yesterday, Today and Always will be held in this city until March 8, under the auspices of the Provincial Center of Books and Literature.
The celebration includes the posting on digital platforms of the works of local intellectuals and writers.
Topics related to the role of women in the beginning of the independence struggles in Cuba from the second half of the 19th century to the present and their imprint on the revolutionary process in the country will be the focus of the virtual debate. Other presentations will evoke the influence of local patriots and their influence on the historical and cultural development of the nation and on the rights demanded, won and defended by Cuban women.
Founded in 1990, the Provincial Center for Books and Literature is in charge of disseminating and promoting the values of universal, national and provincial literature through a network of bookstores and sales outlets, a printing house, the Gertrudis Gómez de Avellaneda promotion center and the Ácana Publishing House.
