HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 12 (ACN) Cuba will hold this month an international seminar on business opportunities in the mining and oil industry in Cuba, for Australian companies interested in the Caribbean nation as a safe market for foreign investment.
This was announced on Thursday on Twitter by Juan Ruiz Quintana, general director of Mining of the Cuban ministry of energy and mines (MINEM), who said that the event will take place online next February 25, due to the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19.
The event will be attended, on the Australian side, by Remo Moretta, Australia's ambassador to Mexico and Cuba; Kim Prior, director of Prior Industries, and Andrew Purcell, Executive of Melbana Energy Limited, among others.
The Cuban representation will include Jesus Marrero, director of production and export of Cuba Petroleo; Angel Vazquez, director of the Geominera group of MINEM, and Ariel Lorenzo, Cuban ambassador to Australia.
