
Havana, Feb 3rd (ACN) The International Congress Pedagogy 2021 closed its online sessions Wednesday after participants reiterated their conviction that a better world is possible to achieve through solidarity, unity and restless struggle by all the peoples.
Cuban Education Minister Ena Elsa Velazquez presided over the event’s closing session which featured the winners of the Best Teacher-Researcher prize, which expresses the acknowledgement of innovative, scientific and technological results.
The Congress included lectures, panels and symposiums as part of its scientific program which was held under the slogan “For the Unity of the Educators.” It also counted on an online debate by ministers, UNESCO directors and other education authorities from 16 countries of the world, while delegates made nearly 800 presentations.
The international meet was also the scenario for reflection on the impact by the COVID 19 pandemic on the world, its challenges and particularly the transformations that have been applied to education models and societies.
The closing session called for the 18th edition of the Pedagogy Congress in January 2030.
