HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 5 (ACN) In line with the economic changes in Cuba in 2021, the National Office for the Control and Rational Use of Energy (ONURE by its Spanish acronym) calls for the implementation of strategies to optimize the management of energy resources, without affecting productive results.
This was expressed in an interview to Granma newspaper by the head of inspection and regulation of energy carriers of ONURE, Hector Gomez Rodriguez, and added that during 2020 this entity has implemented monitoring actions to achieve a more efficient use of resources.
Gomez Rodriguez affirmed that with this objective, until last November some 65,126 inspections were carried out in state entities.
Inefficiencies were detected in the use of fuel and electrical fluid, as well as in the control of electricity.
For a more effective use of energy, ONURE proposes to carry out refueling adjustment studies to distribute spending schedules, as well as to monitor the consumption plan through daily auto-readings and maintain greater control over prepaid fuel cards.
