HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 17 (ACN) Dedicated to renewable energies and energy efficiency in industry, the "Second Cuba-Germany 2020 Virtual Business Trip" took place November 10-13 in an on-line version, the Cuban ministry of foreign affairs highlighted Tuesday on its official website.
The event was organized by the Cuban Chamber of Commerce and the German Office for the Promotion of Trade and Investment on the island, with the support of both countries' embassies and the sponsorship of the "Energy Export Initiative" of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy.
The representatives of the German and Cuban businesses had the opportunity to exchange widely on issues of the sector, to promote the interests of joint business and foreign investment
In its opening session, the participants were welcomed by the secretary general of the Cuban chamber of commerce, Omar Fernandez Jimenez, the German ambassador to the island, Ms. Heidrum Tempel, and the representative of the German office for the promotion of trade and investment in Cuba, Gunther Neubert, as well as the ambassador of the Caribbean nation to Germany, Ramon Ripoll Diaz, who was present from Berlin, according to Cubaminrex.
On the other hand, the solidarity friends of the organization "Cuba Si", from the German Left Party, recently concluded in the city of Berlin the sending of a new donation destined to support the agricultural development in the province of Guantanamo (eastern Cuba).
As highlighted Tuesday today on the official website of the Cuban foreign ministry, the donation includes a solar dryer priced at almost 20,000 euros, as well as equipment for a bicycle workshop, tools, computers, walkers, hospital beds, mattresses, among many other items.
This action was carried out in the framework of the campaign #UnBlockCuba , which denounces the unjust and inhumane economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed, for more than 60 years, by the US government against the Caribbean nation.
