HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 12 (ACN) Yuri Viamontes, Cuba's Deputy Minister of Energy and Mines, and Sergey Alekseevich Aksenov, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency on Subsoil Use of Russia, advocated in a virtual meeting on the importance of greater cooperation in geology.
Viamontes and Aksenov presided over the 18th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, in which the geology and mining subgroup met, the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlights today on its official website Cubaminrex.
The text adds that during the meeting the parties informed each other about the progress in the implementation of the decisions established in the Protocol of the 4th meeting of the Working Group in the field of geology and mining.
Both officials showed their mutual interest in the development of greater cooperation and confirmed the importance and need for interaction between specialists from both countries in the field of geology and the use of the subsoil, to carry out joint research projects, added Cubaminrex.
