HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 30 (ACN) Iljam Aliyev, president of Azerbaijan, signed on Thursday, in a plenary session of the parliament, a law on the establishment of the embassy of that Eurasian nation to Cuba.
The opening of the embassy, approved by a majority of votes, would mean an important contribution to the development of the relations between the two countries, highlighted local political experts, quoted by Prensa Latina.
As part of the collaboration between the two governments, since July 13, a brigade of 115 health workers from the Cuban internationalist contingent Henry Reeve has been working on Azeri territory, almost all of them located in the capital's Hospital Number One, to care for patients with the COVID-19 pandemic.
A diplomatic representation of this nation is currently working in Havana.
