Commemorative stamp for 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cuba and China

HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 15 (ACN) During these six decades we can affirm that Cuba and China have built an exemplary relationship, said Anayansi Rodriguez Camejo, deputy foreign minister, on Wednesday in Havana, during the issuing ceremony of the commemorative stamp, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Havana and Beijing.

We are pleased to highlight the similarities between Cuba and China, twinned in the struggle for socialism, in the defense of multilateralism, the principles of International law and the role of the United Nations, the diplomat added in her words during the ceremony attended by Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party and foreign minister, and Chen Xi, ambassador of the People's Republic of China.
During the ceremony, Rodriguez Camejo highlighted that Cuba is honored to be the first Latin American country to establish diplomatic relations with the new China and to have contributed modestly to the advancement of its relations with the region.
For his part, ambassador Chen Xi recalled significant milestones in the historical relations between both countries and ratified the willingness of the Chinese party, government and people to continue fostering exchanges and deepening bilateral cooperation.
