HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 22 (ACN) Cuban president Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, will take the floor Tuesday as part of the high-level general debate that begins today, during the 75th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA75).
Cuba will be the seventh speaker of the morning session of this important event, which this year is taking place under the slogan "The future we want, the United Nations we need: reaffirming our collective commitment to multilateralism, facing the COVID-19 through effective multilateral action". .
As announced, more than 170 heads of state and government are expected to participate online in the high-level debate, scheduled to be held Sep 22-26.
During this edition of the Assembly, Cuba will also take part in the general debate and other high-level events such as the 25th anniversary of the 4th world conference on women and the International day for the total elimination of nuclear weapons, as well as the biodiversity summit.
