HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 17 (ACN) The Andalusian Fund of Municipalities for International Solidarity (FAMSI by its Spanish acronym) will send equipment to collect waste to Cuba as part of a donation to the Havana Provincial Assembly of People's Power.
According to a press release published by the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the equipment consists on an electric truck, spare material to guarantee the life of the vehicle, a diagnostic machine, among other elements for the collection and treatment of solid waste.
The reception of the donation that will be sent to Cuba took place in the city of Lucena and the act was attended by Eva Contador, councilwoman for Solidarity; Vicente Martin, general coordinator of the Cordoba City Council; and Emilio Rabasco, FAMSI director.
The donation is made within the framework of the project “Support for the comprehensive management of the collection of solid urban waste in the province of Havana, “which has among its objectives to promote Sustainable Human Development of the population of these two twinned cities.
The program has the support of the Andalusian Agency for International Cooperation, the Cordoba City Council and the Cordoba municipal sanitation company.
