HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 17 (ACN) Prominent American filmmaker Oliver Stone has recently joined the international campaign to award the Nobel Peace Prize to the Cuban medical brigades of the Henry Reeve Contingent.
On Twitter, the director of Platoon, JFK and other important films, winner of two Oscars and three Golden Globes, expressed his admiration for the altruistic work of Cuban doctors, nurses and other health professionals and joined the online petition.
The name of the outstanding American artist and intellectual is added to the list of personalities, activists and organizations from around the world that recognize the professionalism and dedication of Cuban health workers in the face of the global health catastrophe caused by SARS-CoV-2.
