Cuba begins transfer of passengers from British cruise ship MS Braemar to Havana airport

HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 18 (ACN) With strict observance of the protocols established by the World Health Organization (WHO) for this kind of procedure, the transfer of cruise passengers on board MS Braemar from the port of Mariel to Havana's Jose Marti international airport began.

A journalist from the Cuban News Agency reported from the scene that the first group of tourists had already left for the airport, escorted by Cuban authorities.
There will be four groups created to arrive in the airport, in which Cuba has followed all the guidelines provided by international organizations for similar situations and in which highly qualified personnel are participating.
At terminal 5 of the airport in Havana, four charter flights are already ready to transfer passengers to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Besides the confirmed cases of the disease (at least 5), the ship had about 40 people, 20 passengers and 20 crew members, including a doctor, who were isolated because they were suffering from flu-like symptoms.
