HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 19 (acn) The tourism promotion campaign Autentica Cuba will be presented next month in several Colombian cities, as part of the actions to publicize the benefits of the Caribbean island in that South American nation.
According to Prensa Latina (PL) news agency, the cities where the campaign will be exhibited are Medellin, Cali, Bogotá, Barranquilla and Bucaramanga.
Mariano Fernandez, Tourism Advisor of the Cuban Embassy in Colombia, said that the objective of the event is to know the main tourist attractions of the Antillean nation.
He stressed that Cuba has a mixture of heritage, history, culture, music, poetry, adventure and an amazing nature, which make it very attractive for visitors.
Cuba closed last June with 72.965 hotel rooms, with 2.081 them built in 2019 and 4.197 more will be added to that figure before the end of this year.
4.732.280 tourists arrived in Cuba in 2018, although this year the authorities cut the amount to 4.3 million due to the resurgence of coercive measures imposed by the U.S. government, which included cruise travel bans.
