HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 24 (ACN) Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, Vice President of the Council of Ministers, received Mr. Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Secretary of State in charge of Foreign Trade and Tourism of the French Republic, as part of the work program that he is developing in the country in the context of the celebration of the III Session of the Economic and Trade Commission and the Strategic Orientation Committee of the Countervalue Fund between Cuba and France.
During the meeting there was an extensive exchange of views on the background of bilateral economic relations and the perspectives that exist to continue strengthening them. Special attention was paid to the progress of the agreements subscribed between both governments and the business in execution between French and Cuban companies.
Vice President Cabrisas highlighted the importance of periodically holding these bilateral meetings at the governmental level, as well as promoting the participation of French companies in foreign investment businesses in Cuba.
Mr. Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne was accompanied by Mr. Eric Amblard, First Counselor of the French Embassy and Mr. Michel Oldenburg, Head of the French Economic Service in Cuba.
On the Cuban side were present Inalvis Bonachea González and Danae de Paz Grau, director and official of the European Trade Policy Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, respectively.
