HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 12 (acn) Mr. Hassan Mohamed Kamel, Djibouti´s Minister of State for Youth and Sports, started a working visit to Cuba with the aim of renewing the agreement on sports collaboration signed in 2007.
The distinguished guest and the delegation that accompanied him were received at Havana´s Jose Marti International Airport, by PhD. Antonio Becali, president of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation, who when welcoming them, ratified the willingness of strengthening bilateral cooperation.
¨We are interested in the training of our professionals of sports medicine, dieticians and physiotherapists, and we
also need advice in team sports and athletics, "Kamel said.
Ten Djiboutians have been trained in Cuba as graduates in Physical Culture and six Cuban specialists are currently work in that African nation, including trainers of athletics, gymnastics, handball, volleyball and basketball, as well as a physiotherapist.
During his stay in the Caribbean island, Kamel will also visit scientific institutions, schools, the modern Anti-Doping Laboratory, the ¨Manuel Fajardo¨ University of Physical Culture and Sport Sciences and the Project of Community Physical Activity.
