HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 22 (ACN) The governments of the Republic of Cuba and the Kingdom of Morocco reestablished diplomatic relations after signing an agreement on such effect at the Permanent Mission of Cuba at the United Nations.
The two countries' ambassador to the UN, Anayansi Rodriguez and Omar Hilale, from Cuba and Morocco, respectively, signed the agreement.
The document reads that both countries agreed to reestablish relations based on a common interest of developing friendly and of cooperation relations in the political, economic, and cultural fields, among others.
This agreement is made in correspondence with the principles and purposes stated in the Charter of the United Nations and in conformity with the spirit and the norms established in the Vienna Convention on diplomatic relations of 1961.
