The United States Announces it will Abstain at the UN in Voting against the Blockade

HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 26 (acn) The United States announced it will abstain in the voting against the resolution presented by Cuba – Need to put an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on Cuba by the United States-, which in 24 occasions has been endorsed at the United Nations by most of the international community.

The U.S. stance is consistent with the current process towards the normalization of relations between Havana and Washington, started on December 17, 2014.
