Cuban physicians pay homage to Che Guevara in Bolivia

HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 9 (acn) Members of the Cuban health brigade that offers its services in Bolivia paid homage to Cuban-Argentinean guerilla commander Ernesto Che Guevara in La Higuera, the place where he was assassinated 49 years ago on this date.

According to Prensa Latina, the Cuban physicians visited the school in the small Bolivian town, placed wreaths and held a political cultural ceremony to remember the slain leader.
This was the last of a series of ceremonies throughout Bolivia to remember Che, which included the inauguration of the Ernesto Che Guevara Cultural Center in the town of Vallegrande by President Evo Morales.
Morales said this new place will be ideal to study and understand the ideals, values and ideological and political commitments of the legendary guerrilla.
The facility has an outdoor theater, an archive, rooms for audiovisual presentations and a hall to exhibit handicrafts. Morales announced they will prepare an international meeting next year in this area to mark the 50th anniversary of the death of Che
