Cordial Meeting between Leader of Russian Senate and First VP Miguel Diaz-Canel

HAVANA, Cuba, May 26 (acn) The president of the Council of the Russian Federation (Senate), Valentina Matvienko, held on Thursday a cordial meeting in Moscow with the First Vice-president of the Cuban councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Diaz-Canel, reported Prensa Latina.

During the meeting, held in the context of the first official visit to Russia of the Cuban leader, the two parties reviewed at the headquarters of the legislative body the excellent state of bilateral relations and discussed the progress experienced in the economic and commercial ties.
Attending the meeting together with Diaz-Canel were Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra and the island's ambassador to Russia, Emilio Lozada.
