Cuba and the Bahamas Agree to Expand Exchanges in Culture and SportsHAVANA, Cuba, May 14 (acn) Cuba and the Bahamas agreed on a group of actions to expand bilateral exchanges in culture and sports, reported a diplomatic source.

According to Prensa Latina, the Cuban ambassador to the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, Ismara Vargas, and the Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture of the Caribbean country, Dr. Daniel Johnson, met in Nassau, the Bahamian capital, where they discussed the most important aspects of bilateral relations.
The two parties committed themselves to further strengthen existing relations in the fields of culture and sports, reads the note by the Cuban Embassy to the Bahamas.
The Bahamian minister said that this year he will attend the Caribbean Festival in Santiago de Cuba again, accompanied by a large delegation.
Likewise, he highlighted the cultural exchanges existing between the two countries and proposed new actions to diversify them and expand them.
The Cuban diplomat underlined the positive level of ties between the two ministries and agreed on the importance of reintroducing spaces to ensure that the peoples of the two countries share their culture and identity.
Daniel Johnson, who is also a member of the Bahamian Parliament, visited Cuba in other occasions, invited by his Cuban counterpart and to attend several meetings organized by Cuba.
