Brazil Extends Cuba its Solidarity after Hurricane Impact

Havana, Nov 11 (ACN) Brazil extended its solidarity to the government and people of Cuba following the impacts by two hurricanes on the island and the two quakes that rocked the eastern section of the island.

A news release by the Brazilian Foreign Ministry reads that the Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva administration also regretted the damage inflicted by the natural phenomena on the island nation and demanded the lifting of the unilateral US sanctions hindering the economic and social development of the country, PL news agency reported.

The natural disasters affecting the island have worsened the difficult economic scenario on the island and the energy crisis facing the Cuban people and the US siege directly impacts their living conditions, particularly those of the most vulnerable population sectors .
