Cuba thanks Caribbean States for their support and solidarity

 HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 31 (ACN) In a post on X, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla expressed his appreciation to the Caribbean nations for their support and solidarity at the 47th Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community, held in Grenada.

In his message, the Cuban official highlighted the call of governments in the region to both put an end to the U.S. blockade and remove Cuba from the list of State sponsors of terrorism.
A statement issued by the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) has it that its members are deeply concerned about the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Cuba as a result of the unjust blockade that the U.S. has kept in place for 62 years.

The text adds that CARICOM Heads of Government agreed to provide material aid to help Cuba cope and remarks that the inclusion of Cuba on the U.S. State Department's list of State Sponsors of Terrorism is wrong and offensive.
