Havana, Feb 16 (ACN) The International Justice Court (IJC) rejected a South African request for urgent measures to stop an Israeli attack against Rafah, though the court considered the situation as very dangerous.
However, the top UN court urged the immediate and effective implementation of cautionary measures previously ordered on January 26, PL news agency reported.
The Court considered that Israel must respect las month’s rulings during the initial stage of the hearing opened at the request of Pretoria, which denounces Israel for violating the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide due to his offensive of Rafah.
The ICJ decision was released in response to the urgent request by South Africa which considered it inappropriate the Israeli military operations against the settlement bordering Egypt, which is home to over one million Gaza citizens.
