Bolivian airline to start direct flights Santa Cruz-Havana

 HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 6 (ACN) Boliviana de Aviacion (BoA) airline will start weekly direct flights between Santa Cruz and Havana on October 26.

Reporting BoA's announcement on the X, Danilo Sanchez Vazquez, the island's ambassador to Bolivia, said the route will facilitate the flow of passengers from several South American countries to Cuba and vice versa.

"It is great news for the community of Cubans in Bolivia and Bolivians in Cuba; an incentive for tourist exchange; an opportunity for bilateral trade and a challenge for all of us who work for friendship between our people," the diplomat added.

Regarding the opening of direct flights, Sanchez Vazquez also held a working meeting with representatives of 12 travel agencies in Santa Cruz interested in promoting Cuba as a destination.

Santa Cruz de la Sierra is Bolivia's most populated city and is the country's main commercial, financial and industrial center.
