Cuban party official continued busy work agenda in China

 HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 24 (ACN) After being received Monday morning by the Premier of China, Li Qiang, the member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CC PCC), Roberto Morales Ojeda, continued his busy work schedule.

During this second day of activities, the Cuban official and the delegation accompanying him on his visit to Asian socialist countries held in China other high level meetings, among them, with the member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CCP, Cai Qui, who described as exemplary the development of links between both parties and nations.

Cai Qui stressed the relevance of the Cuban party leader's current visit to promote bilateral ties and expressed China's willingness to maintain its support for Cuba to the best of its possibilities and show empathy for the current difficulties and pressures facing the island.
He assured that Beijing is willing to promote mutually beneficial cooperation, remarked support for the island's struggle for its sovereignty and against the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the United States and conveyed greetings from the General Secretary of the CCP and President of the country, Xi Jinping, to Army General Raul Castro and Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel.

Also on Monday, Wang Yi, director of Foreign Affairs of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, spoke with Morales Ojeda about the strengthening of more ties on the road to socialism and highlighted the value of the traditional friendship between the two states in the face of the challenges of today's world.

Yi recognized the resistance of the Cuban people, their capacity to overcome difficulties, to withstand imperialism and the blockade and highlighted the strength of the PCC in Cuban society, as well as Havana's contribution to the China-Celac (Community of Latin American and Caribbean States) forum, an important platform for mutually beneficial interactions.

Morales Ojeda expressed belief that the PCC and the CCP can be the driving force of relations between the two socialist nations and expressed his appreciation for the stance of the Asian power against the U.S. blockade, expressed Cuba's respect for the principle of One China and appreciated the role of this country in the international context, for the equilibrium it achieves.
