Havana, Dec 28 (ACN) Cuban first deputy foreign minister Gerardo Penalver and the Mayor of Rome Roberto Gualtieri agreed to strengthen bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation during a meeting in Havana.
Penalver and Gualtieri addressed the impact on Cuba by the US economic, commercial and financial blockade, according to Cuban Foreign Ministry.
During his visit here, Gualtieri submitted the candidacy of Rome to be the venue of the World Expo 2030, an international event which several cities are claiming to host, like Busan in South Korea, Odessa in Ukraine and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.
