Cuban Key Resorts Ready for International Tourists

Ciego de Avila, Cuba, Nov 15 (ACN) Tourism workers at resorts on the Jardines del Rey keys, off the northern coast of central Ciego de Avila province, are ready to welcome international tourists over the next few days following the reopening of Cuban borders on November 15.

The Melia Cayo Coco hotel on the keys will offer 200 out of its 250 rooms to guests already scheduled to arrive at that tourist facility on November 15.

Melia Hotel chain representative Marco Mazzucchelli told reporters that hotel areas were remodeled and COVID-19 sanitary protocols were set up to meet the guests’ expectations and safety.

The hotel, with high international reputation, is an only-adult, five-star facility treasuring prizes like the Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best, granted by TrypAdvisor and the World Travel Awards.

The facility is already hosting 300 Canadian, Russian and Cuban guests, many of whom are repeating their stay.
