HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 14 (ACN) The members of the Romania Workers' Association rejected and condemned the U.S. blockade against Cuba, which has been in place for sixty years, and declared themselves friends, comrades and brothers of the brave Cuban people.
In a letter they recalled that next June 23, the General Assembly of the United Nations will once again vote on the draft resolution on the need to put an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba.
They also denounced how this hostile policy seriously affects the Cuban people in general, since the blockade is the main obstacle to the development of the island, according to a press release published on the website of the Cuban foreign ministry.
The losses caused by the blockade are estimated in millions as well as the pain caused to the Cuban people, for this reason they requested that if the government of the United States is interested in human rights in the Caribbean nation, it should immediately cease this policy.
For the members of this Romanian Association, it is a duty to call on the government of president John Biden to put an end once and for all to this ignominy, which has been rejected by the overwhelming majority of the international community.
They also expressed in the letter their total rejection of the anti-Cuban farce being carried out in the European parliament by right-wing groups, evidently allied with the counterrevolution and its supporters, a maneuver that seeks to break the Political Dialogue and Cooperation Agreement signed between the European Union and Cuba, and to hinder relations between the parties, with pretexts and lies.
The letter was signed by Ciprian Pop, Secretary General, Coman Voicu, Secretary, and Minoiu Neculai, Secretary Generaland Minoiu Neculai, Secretary, members of the Association who reiterated their active support to Cuba.
