HAVANA, Dec 10 (ACN) Ines Maria Chapman, Cuba´s Vice President of the Council of Ministers, was received by the President of the Republic of Kenya, His Excellency Mr. Uhuru Kenyatta, as part of her visit to that nation, where she represents Cuba at the 9th Summit of Heads of State and Government of African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries.
During the meeting held in Nairobi, the capital, the sides agreed in recognizing the good state of bilateral relations between the two governments, and showed their intentions to deepen them in mutual interest fields.
They also analyzed current issues relating to international events and cooperation between ACP States.
Kenya ratified its support to Cuba in the struggle against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the US government against the the Caribbean island.
Gisela Garcia Rivera, Director of Sub-Saharan Africa of Cuban foreign ministry, and Ernesto Gomez Diaz, Ambassador to Kenya, were present on the Cuban side.
The Kenyan leader was accompanied by Dr. Monica Juma, secretary of the cabinet of the foreign ministry of the African nation.
