HAVANA, Dec 2 (ACN) Audrey Azoulay, Director General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), will make an official visit to Cuba from next December 4.
The distinguished visitor will hold official conversations with Cuban authorities and will carry out other activities.
UNESCO's goal is to guide people in a more effective management of their own development, through natural resources and cultural values, aimed at modernizing and advancing the world's nations, without losing identity and cultural diversity.
Its current Director-General, who took office on November 15, 2017, is a senior French official and politician, cultural advisor to President Francois Hollande (2014-2016) and Minister of Culture and Communication from 2016 to 2017.
