HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 14 (acn) Cuban Yurisbel Gracial blasted a solo homer in the 9-3 away win of his team, the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks, over the Saitama Seibu Lions and thus won the pennant of the NPB Pacific League and advanced to the Japan Series.

The Caribbean outfielder batted 2 for 4 to finish the Climax Series with batting average (BA) of .313, with three home runs and same amount of RBIs.
His compatriot and teammate, DH Alfredo Despaigne, did not have a good day and hit 1 for 6, with a strikeout, to say goodbye to this semifinal against Seibu with .294 of BA and only one RBI.
The also Cuban Livan Moinelo pitched one scoreless inning allowing two hits and struck out an opponent, thus leaving his ERA at 3.38 in this semifinal stage.
This victory allowed the Hawks to qualify to the NPB final (Japan Series) for the third consecutive year and for the sixth time since the 2011, in addition to giving them the opportunity to face their sixth different rival in the Japan Series, in which they remain undefeated since that year.
The 2019 Japan Series will begin next Saturday at the Fukuoka Yafuoku Dome, home of the Hawks, who will have as rivals the Yomiuri Giants, monarchs of the Central League after beating 4-1 the Hanshin Tigers.
