Cubans homered in win of their team in the Japanese Professional Baseball

HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 23 (acn) Cuban Alfredo Despaigne hit his thirty-fifth homer of the season and drove in four runs, to lead the 8-0 away victory of the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks over the Orix Buffalos, in the Pacific League of the Japanese Professional Baseball (NPB).

Despaigne batted 2 for 4 thus raising his batting average (BA) to .258 and his RBIs to 87, and also tied his total of homeruns in a season, record he set in 2017 when he also finished as RBI leader with 103.
His compatriot and teammate Yurisbel Gracial hit 2 for 4, with a solo homer, a double and two runs scored, to raise his BA to .320 and HR and RBI totals to 28 and 68, respectively.
The Hawks have only three games left to finish their performance in the regular stage, and now appear second in the Pacific League with balance of 76 wins, 60 losses and 4 draws, one game behind the leader the Saitama Seibu Lions (79-61-1).
