According to the specialized website www.beisboljapones.com, the player of the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks was included in the Pacific League team due to the injury of outfielder Yuki Yanagita, who was chosen by the fans.
The manager of his team, Kimiyasu Kudo, selected the Cuban due to his good results during the season as Gracial has an offensive line (AVE / OBP / SLU) of 329/377/628), with 30 extra-bases, including 19 homers and 47 RBIs.
With this designation, Gracial joins the also Cuban and teammate Alfredo Despaigne as one of the four Latin players chosen for the 2019 NPB All-Star Series.
