HAVANA, Cuba, May 28 (acn) Cuban national baseball team manager, Rey Vicente Anglada, decided to include right-handed pitcher Roberto Hernandez, in the current pre-selection that is training for the coming Lima 2019 Pan American Games.
Anglada has witnessed the praiseworthy results in the current U23 National Series of the talented pitcher, who played in the MLB Cleveland Indians organization, and intends to count on the 18 years old young man in the preparation for Lima.
After his reincorporation into the Cuban baseball, Hernandez is super motivated with his team (Sancti Spiritus) and has balance of 7 wins and only one loss, appears second in ERA with 1.24 and leader in strikeouts with 77 in 58 innings, new record for this event.
In addition, he pitched a no hit- no run game, however, Anglada and his pitching staff must work in the command of the young pitcher, since he has given away 23 walks.
