Six Cubans to attend World Taekwondo Championships

HAVANA, Cuba, May 14 (acn) Six Cubans will attend from tomorrow and until next Sunday the 2019 World Taekwondo Championships in Manchester, UK, which grants points for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic ranking.

The Cuban delegation is headed by Glenhis Hernandez (73 kg) and Rafael Alba (+87), Puebla 2013 world champions.
The list also includes the Toronto 2015 Pan American monarchs Yania Aguirre (49) and Jose Angel Cobas (80), as well as the Barranquilla 2018 Central American and Caribbean champs Tamara Roble (57) and Arlettys Acosta (67).
The 2019 World Taekwondo Championships will be attended by more than 975 athletes from 150 countries and a team of refugees under the banner of World Taekwondo (WT), the international federation governing this sport.
