Cubans will make debut in on World Rowing CupHAVANA, Cuba, May 10 (acn) The Cuban duos Yariulvis Cobas-Aimee Hernandez and Jesus Rodroguez-Carlos Ajete will debut today on World Rowing Cup I, which will run until next Sunday in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

According to the website of the contest, Cobas and Hernandez are enrolled in the eliminatory stage of the women´s double scull (W2x), event that is attended by nations like China, Belarus, Hungary, Japan, Holland, Poland and Romania.
Meanwhile, Rodriguez and Ajete will have a greater number of rivals, since they will face 16 other crews in the men´s coxless pair (M2-) event.
The main goal of the Cubans rowers is to continue training for the 2019 Pan Am Games of Lima, Peru, scheduled to take place from July 26 to August 11.
The World Rowing Cup I is attended by 300 athletes from 24 nations, who will compete in 20 events (10 for each sex).
The other two rowing world cups of this season will take place in Poznan, Poland, from June 21 to 23, and Rotterdam, Netherlands, from July 12-14.
