Ivanchuck leads solo Capablanca Chess MemorialHAVANA, Cuba, May 10 (acn) Keeping the pace they showed yesterday during the sixth round should be the goal for Cuban GMs Carlos Albornoz and Yuri Gonzalez, who today will face rivals who already beat them in the Elite group of the 54th Capablanca Memorial Chess Tournament.

During the seventh round, Albornoz will rival Indian Baskaran Adhiban and Gonzalez will face Ukrainian Vassily Ivanchuk, who appears as solo leader with 4 units, thus increasing the possibility of gaining his eighth crown in this event.

In the Open group, Cuban Isan Ortiz appears as solo leader with 5.5 units of possible 6 and today will clash with the also local Omar Almeida, who ranks second with 5 points.
