HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 29 (acn) With the aim of signing a cooperation agreement, top officials of Guatemalan sport started an official visit to Cuba.
The delegation of the Central American country is headed by Julio Fernando Caceres, president of the Autonomous Sports Confederation, and Gerardo Aguirre Oestmann, head of the Olympic Committee of that nation, who will sign today agreements with their local counterparts.
Also today, they will know details about the community physical activity and visit the Center for Scientific Research of Cuban Sports and the Anti-Doping Control Laboratory.
Cuba and Guatemala have maintained a beneficial exchange for both parties in the sports field, so this visit will further strengthen collaboration in this area.
The distinguished visitors were received at Jose Marti International Airport by Osvaldo Vento Montiller, president of the Cuba´s National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER by its Spanish acronym), and José Antonio Miranda, INDER director of high performance sports.
