HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 7 (acn) Undoubtedly, Cuban children will categorically benefit from the signing yesterday of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Little League Baseball Incorporated (LLBI) and the Cuban Baseball Federation (FCB).
This agreement will be a new opportunity for Cuban infants (between 4 and 12 years old), who will be able to attend tournaments in the Caribbean and the Little League World Series.
As stipulated, the FCB champion can compete this year in these international events and the LLBI will provide resources for training grounds, coach clinics and all kinds of sports equipment.
The Caribbean Baseball Little League contest will be held in Curaçao, from next June 12 to 21, and will grant a ticket to the World Series, which will take place from August 15 - 25 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, USA.
In addition, it has been established between both parties that the FCB will receive the rules books and other educational and technical resources of the LLBI, which will provide the services requested by the Cuban side for the construction or renovation of baseball fields for children.
LLBI brings together nearly 200,000 teams in 85 countries, with the inclusion of Cuba yesterday; many MLB players have previously played in the LLBI.
