Cuban player wins Colombian Professional Baseball League

HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 23 (acn) Cuban Roel Santos won with the Barranquilla Caimanes the Colombian Professional Baseball League (LCBP by its Spanish acronym).

Thus, this team achieved its tenth crown when defeating 4-1 the Sincelejo Toros in the final play-off of the season.
Santos had a good performance as leadoff hitter as in 30 games he batted 48 hits, including four doubles and an equal number of triples, with an offensive line (AVE / OBP / SLU) of 384/480/466.
He also had OPS of 946, with 30 runs scored and 10 RBIs, in addition to 20 walks and only eight strikeouts.
This is Santos´ third consecutive title as he was champion the previous two years with Granma in the Cuban National Series.
The Cuban centerfielder also had experience in the Canadian-American League (Can-Am) with Quebec Capitales and the Japanese Professional League (NPB), where he played in 2017 for the Chiba Lotte Marines.
